An engaging experiential workshop that brings music and storytelling together through the magical world of Dion the Accordion. Inspired by the original musical book, the session introduces children to the accordion in a fun, interactive, and educational way. The workshop begins with a live narrated excerpt of the story, accompanied by accordion music, allowing children to experience the instrument up close. Participants will discover how the accordion works, its role in musical ensembles, and its unique ability to produce a wide variety of sounds. Through guided activities, children will explore different musical styles—such as waltz, tango, jazz, and traditional music—using body percussion, simple instruments, and their voices. They will also sing songs from the story, as well as familiar tunes, developing rhythm, listening skills, and musical expression. This interactive experience encourages imagination, participation, and a deeper connectionwith music, offering children a joyful introduction to the expressive world of the accordion.
